I think this is the coolest drawn poster and it has the best quote in the story. |
I think that his story title is suppose to fool you just at the title of “The Tell Tale Heart” by Edgar Allen Poe fooled you. When you first read the title you think that it may be about love from the word heart of a story about it from tell tale. This theory is dropped when you find out it was talking about a real heart. Same with the story by Roald Dahl, you assume that its going to be a story about a weak person that is killed but again you are completely thrown off when it actually about a leg of lamb.I think Patrick is leaving Mary because of the baby that she is going got have in a few months. Patrick says that it’s not going to be good for his business and what I think he means by this is that he is going to be seen as weak and he may even be trying to protect the child. Mary was shocked by the entire story because she is described as having a horrified look on her face the entire time. Maybe Mary felt threatened by what he said. As a mother she is trying to protect her baby and maybe she felt that he was going to hurt the baby. One think that I don’t understand is that Patrick was really calm and nice about it: offering money and someone to look after the baby. Why would she be so urged to hurt him. We don’t know the entire thing that he told her so We may never know. I think Mary’s crime was a crime of passion because she showed so much love and affection towards Patrick in the beginning but all of a sudden there were a true of event and that hate just came out of nowhere. The the just lied up inside her and she just went for it.I disagree the fact the it was justified the way that she reacted to Patrick’s news fro several reasons. One thing that I don’t understand is that Patrick was really calm and nice about it: offering money and someone to look after the baby. Why would she be so urged to hurt him. We don’t know the entire thing that he told her so we may never know. The next reason isn’t really based on facts, it more on the hatred that we develop for the character. We know every little detail about the crime and the clever why she hid it yet all the other characters are oblivious! It really irks me! I just to yell out at the detectives that it was all her and just show them all the morbid evidence.
These are all the my answers for the questions that we received for the fishbowl before we went reviewed them.
